Hi, my name is Pouria Salekani. I graduated from California State University, Northridge with two bachelor's: Computer Science and Mathematics. I like the use of software that positively impacts the environment or people's lives. Fields such as energy management, health technology, and civic challenges are few of the many fields I like. Developed a desktop application that graphs user-inputted single-variable, polar, and parametric expressions, rendering them as animated lightning using midpoint displacement, vector mathematics, and simplex noise.

Emotion Movie Recommender

Tech used: Python, Django, pandas, scikit-learn, HuggingFace, transformers, Google Colab (for testing)

Developed an emotion analyzer/tone analyzer that utilizes NLP techniques to read user emotion and to find movies that best matches the user's current emotion that they inputted.
