Hi, I am Pouria Salekani. I am currently an undergraduate majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics at California State University, Northridge and I will be graduating in Spring 2025. My research interests include optimization, machine learning, financial mathematics, and data-driven decision-making. Specifically, I like machine learning techniques applied to portfolio optimization problems. Furthermore, I am interested in optimization under uncertainty and designing large-scale algorithms.

Developed an emotion analyzer/tone analyzer that utilizes NLP techniques to read user emotion and to find movies that best matches the user's current emotion that they inputted.

Amazon Wilson Score

Tech used: Python, Django, Matplotlib, SQLite, Scrapy, NumPy

Developed a web-based application using Python and the Django framework that analyzes up to 30 Amazon product URLs simultaneously which then applies the Wilson Score interval formula to calculate the “product positive outcome” with 95% confidence.
